Niche Information Technology Solutions is seeking a Incident Response and Detection Engineer for a contract 1099 role with our company.

Job Description:

• Build upon, and improve logging and monitoring infrastructure in collaboration with Security Engineering, Information Technology, and other Information Security teams
• Investigate security incidents across multiple companies, including partnering with engineering & operations teams, legal, and communications
• Continuously improve our monitoring capabilities by creating and iterating on new detections from latest threat vectors and adversarial campaigns working with multiple stakeholders to build detections and incident response playbooks
• You will assist with the selection, implementation, and usage enhancement of advanced monitoring tools.
• You will use automation to improve detection and response times and mitigate incident impact.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with writing detection logics, triaging alerts, and incident response processes.
• Experience with one or more Splunk Enterprise Security, Kibana + Elastic SIEM with logstash – trend micro.
• Experience detecting abuse and large-scale attacks in a small to large infrastructures and diverse environment.
• Must be comfortable working with multiple stakeholders such as engineering/operations teams, internal business units, external incident response teams, and law enforcement throughout the incident lifecycle.
